Exning Tennis Club is situated in the village of Exning, close to Newmarket. The club shares its facilities with the local cricket club on parkland in the grounds of Exning House. The rural surroundings provide an excellent setting for the club.
Club members are of all standards and ages – the nature of the club is that everyone mixes in and everyone is always guaranteed a game. We play throughout the year (stopped only by snow and ice!). You will always find someone there on a club night, so come along and try it out for yourself!
The club has three hard courts, two with floodlights. All the courts have been recently resurfaced and painted.
The club currently has over 80 members and is one of only a few clubs in the area that is able to provide full access and facilities for wheelchair players.
The club house has changing facilities along with a microwave and stocked fridge. Spectators can view the action from the covered seating, picnic benches or from the club house. Those who would rather sharpen up their skills can hit against the practice wall.
New members are welcome at the club at any time. A membership form is available to download (see the right hand column). Please contact the club secretary for further information.
In addition to organising regular club play throughout the year, the club organises a number of tournaments for its members.
For the more competitive – various levels of ladies, mens and mixed teams entered into both the Norfolk and Suffolk and the Cambridge and District Leagues in Spring, Summer and Winter.
